THE desire of Musa Ahmed, Odion Ighalo and Mikel Obi to play at the Rio 2016 Olympics may tarry a while as Dream Team VI Coach, Samson Siasia has insisted on taking his time on the selection of over aged players. It would be recalled that Siasia towards the end of year 2015 hinted on his intention to invite CSKA Moscow striker, Ahmed Musa and Watford sensation, Odion Ighalo as part of the overaged players he would love to take to Brazil.
A lot of the Super Eagles players had indirectly hinted on their availability to join the Rio 2016 train, with many of them openly canvassing for a place in the Dream Team squad.
While speaking from his base in the United States of America, the former Super Eagles striker stated that he had not made up his mind on the issue of over aged players to beef up his squad for the Olympics.
There had been speculations and advises from certain quarters for the Beijing 2008 Silver winning coach to pick from the likes of Ighalo, Musa, Mikel and Ogaenyi Onazi as part of his mandatory overaged players for Rio 2016.
Siasia also revealed that one of his priorities now is on how to utilize all the FIFA windows in ways of quality international friendly matches in Europe.
